The City’s new City Manager began his first day at his new job today. Mr. Taylour Tedder was hired in May 2021 after a nationwide search. Mr. Tedder comes to Boulder City by way of Leavenworth, KY, a suburb of Kansas City, MO, where he served as Assistant City Manager. He is a graduate of Emporia State University. He received his Master of Public Administration degree from Wichita State University.
“Mr. Tedder, in my opinion, understands the unique concerns we have as a community,” said Boulder City Mayor Kiernan McManus. “Mr. Tedder has a well-rounded background that will benefit Boulder City residents and our City government, especially in historic preservation and community development. I look forward to working with him.”
Mr. Tedder had previously visited Boulder City while on vacation in Southern Nevada. “It is the type of city we’d love to make our home – a premier, well-planned, family-friendly community with a small-town feel. The recreational opportunities and benefits of the metropolitan area nearby make it an excellent location.”
Mr. Tedder and his wife, Amber, will make their home in Boulder City.
