New Monument Welcome Sign Installed

The Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) has installed a snappy new 'Welcome to Nevada' monument sign on the northbound side of I-11, just past the Hoover Dam Bridge, welcoming visitors to Nevada.

It stands almost 20-feet tall and is 8 feet wide with Art Deco styling to it, consistent with so many other architectural elements we see all along I-11, echoing the same theme as Hoover Dam itself.

The monument sign will also be lit at night. According to NDOT the cost of this was $396,090, which one assumes would have been part of their overall initial budget for the I-11 project.
