New Watering Restrictions in Boulder City

Lawn SprinklerSome changes to the existing watering restrictions were approved at a recent City Council meeting … you can read about the agenda item in detail and the actual text changes to the ordinance (indicated in red font) by CLICKING HERE, but the quick & dirty overview is:

  • Watering will no longer be allowed on Sunday from May through August
  • Landscape irrigation prohibitions will go into effect one month earlier in the fall (so no watering between 11am-7pm from May 1 until Sept 1 instead of the current May 1 – Oct 1)
  • Fountain restrictions have been updated to be more consistent with other areas of the Las Vegas Valley, including that fountains are permitted on residential properties, provided that it is less than 25 square feet.
