Our Own Loch Ness Monster, Perhaps?

Yes, that was my first thought until it emerged from the murky waters in all of its glory. And yes, considering that I hypothesized that Boulder City was the Grinch’s Whoville just two months ago, I will admit to have a flair for the dramatic first thoughts!

In any case – it turns out that there is no underwater monster in the municipal course pond outside my door – but a scuba diver who spends about an hour scouring for golf balls. Look at the mesh bag of golf balls he’s hauling in the bottom photo…I guess I never really considered that someone has to go in there and get those ‘oops’ shots!

I have a super cool video for you tomorrow…it’s all about the multi-million dollar industry surrounding golf ball recovery…stay tuned!
