Ask and you shall receive! After all the discussion on the Facebook page over the path of Interstate 11 (formerly known as the Boulder City Bypass) – Brok Armantrout from the Boulder City Community Development Department sent this overhead-view map for me to post for ya.
You can see that we’ll have our own little “Spaghetti Bowl” on the other side of the highway from Railroad Pass (a zoom picture of that to come later) and then it cuts down to cross over the 95 (road to Searchlight). So if you didn’t head for Boulder City at the Railroad Pass transition, you’ll be able to exit here.
After that, there isn’t a way to exit the Interstate until it ends down by the Hacienda (ish).
Currently, the plan is that the Buchanan exit will be used only for emergency vehicles, FYI. But if that changes and becomes another public exit…the traffic coming into town on Buchanan will be something we’ll be hearing about for sure!
There is a public meeting on Monday night (September 30, 2013) at 5pm in City Council Chambers for stakeholders & interested parties to hear and be heard on all issues relating to Interstate 11 – so you’ll be able to find out more there if you want to go!
