You’d think that holding a parade in honor of my birthday on December 3rd would be enough (cleverly disguised as Santa’s Electric Night Parade, mind you). But no, there will be a whole SECOND parade at Lake Mead when around 25 boats adorned with lights and holiday decorations sail by in celebration (cleverly disguised as the Lake Mead Boating Association’s Annual Parade of Lights)!
Decorated boats will be on display at Las Vegas Boat Harbor and Lake Mead Marina from 3:30pm – to 6:30pm and visitors can vote for their favorite decorations. At 6:30pm, the boats will depart the marinas and parade across the Boulder Basin. Visitors can watch the departure from the marinas or view the parade from Boulder Beach. The marina restaurants will be open. For more information on the parade, you can visit the Facebook event page by CLICKING HERE or Lake Mead Boating Association’s Facebook page by CLICKING HERE.
P.S. – In lieu of presents for me, you can contribute to the food bank fundraiser associated with this event … more info about that is HERE! 🙂
