The Boulder City Fire Department recently announced two personnel updates. Firefighter Nigel Walton was promoted to Captain and took his oath of office on Tuesday, July 13th during the regular City Council meeting. He received his captain’s pin from his father, Steve Walton, a Henderson Fire Department Division Chief. Captain Walton was recently named Firefighter of the Year by the city.

Sarah Mitre joined the Fire Department in the Fire Analyst position. She was previously a reserve firefighter. In her new job, Fire Analyst Mitre will “oversee the EMS program, assist in the city’s Emergency Management, contribute to the Fire Accreditation program and perform other administrative duties,” according to a post by the Fire Department.

Congratulations to both on their new positions with the Fire Department!
