The Boulder City United Methodist Church will be hosting a Pet Blessing Event on Saturday, November 16 from 8:00AM to 11:00AM. The blessings will be performed by Pastor Kimber Govett at Wilbur Square (999 Colorado Street).
Pet blessings are a tradition in honor of Saint Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals. Many churches offer blessings because of his love for animals as expressed in his Canticle of Creatures. Those wishing to participate in the event should bring their animals on a leash or in a carrier to receive their blessing.
