Poet’s Walk Memory Care is hosting a FREE free Lunch and Learn for loved ones of those with memory care challenges. This is limited to the first 25 respondents and an a RSVP to Tanya Vece HERE is required.
The topic is Alzheimer’s Disease and how it impacts families and communities. The speaker is Amy Moore Peterson, who lost her husband to Early Onset Alzheimer’s Disease in 2014. She will share her experiences and what resources are available for families. She coordinates a support group for caregivers and one for those who are grieving. She recently returned from at trip to Washington DC, where she met with members of the House of Representatives and Senate hoping to obtain additional funding for research programs.
The luncheon will be Friday, July 29 from 11:30AM to 1:00PM at Boulder Creek Golf Course, located at 1501 Veterans Memorial Drive.
