This just came to us a few days ago – so sorry for the last minute announcement! But…our local Southern Nevada Railroad Museum is organizing a Community Clean-up event this Saturday, February 23rd beginning at 8:00 am.
Our good friend Frank Carroll tells us, “Yes, we’ve had cleanups before, but this is the first for this year. People should meet at the depot at approximately 8:00 AM, bring gloves, long sleeve shirt, long pants and good shoes (hiking preferred); other garb as weather suggests. People will board the train and head out to start point and work their way back”.
The are providing trash bags, water and a few poke-sticks. He says if you have your own trash grabber device, you’re welcome to bring that too.
Best of all, is that later in the afternoon, they’ll have some grub for those who come to help!
We’ll hope to see a good turnout!
