Reading to Z Wine Pairing Event

ReadingToZ Boulder City Nevada

Reading to Z, the local affiliate of the Dolly Parton’s Imagine Library, is hosting its first fundraising event. Reading to Z’s mission is to increase childhood literacy. One of the best ways to do so is by reading to children. Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is a book gifting program that mails free, high quality books to children from birth to age five, no matter their family’s income.

The local affiliate (HERE) was started by Pastor Adam and Jessica Stetson after the loss of their son, Zechariah, to Trisomy 18. Because he was so fragile, they were unable to him, so they read to him as their way of bonding with him. As part of Zechariah’s legacy, they would like every child, from birth to age five, in Boulder City to receive a book every month. They hope to foster a lifetime of wonderful reading for the kids in our community.

The fundraising event, a Wine Pairing Dinner, will take place on Tuesday, August 20, 2024 at 6:00PM. The event is being hosted at DeSimone’s Steakhouse, inside Railroad Pass Hotel and Casino. The cost is $100 per guest and seating is limited. The event will feature a four-course dinner crafted by Chef James Nickleberry paired with ONEHOPE Wines. It promises to be a delicious evening! In addition to the wine tasting, there will be Silent Auctions, ONEHOPE Wine orders, and Live Auctions that evening.

Sponsorships are available and donations should be dropped off or scheduled for pickup by Friday, August 9, 2024. Respectfully it’s requested that items or gift cards have a minimum value of $100. Donors will be highlighted in the evening’s program. Sponsorship forms can be obtained by clicking HERE.

To RSVP for the dinner, contact Jessica Stetson HERE, or Angela Dyer HERE. Don’t miss this opportunity to support our community’s children and remember Zechariah!
