Well, well, well. Look what our little eyes spied in Santiago, Chile! It’s Boulder City born and raised and world class athletes Lexi Lagan and Zane Grothe. Pistol shooter Lexi and swimmer Zane recently competed in the 2023 Pan American Games in Santiago, Chile.
Lexi shot well and came home with a bronze in Womens 25m Pistol and Silver in Womens 10m Air Pistol for Team USA. Over in the pool, team captain Zane guided the Men’s 4 x 200m Relay team to a Silver medal in the event and missed first place by only 0.5 seconds and setting a Pan American record by just 2.5 seconds! It was Zane’s first Pan American Games and he tells us, “It’s an honor to represent the USA. This was my first time as captain and I’m very proud (of the team’s performance).” Way to go Lexi and Zane!!
