Michelle Gemmill is one busy woman! She is the co-principal and co-owner of several businesses in Boulder City, including Quantum Printing, BC Magazine and Seed to Table Gardening. Now she can add boutique owner to the number of hats she already wears! We met with her at her new store recently to find out more about her newest business endeavor: Sage Boutique and Gifts.
Sage Boutique and Gifts was born out of a recent family trip to Texas. As an experienced businesswoman, who managed the former Experienced Merchandise (owned by the Christian Center) in Boulder City for more than a year, she was inspired by visits to such stores as Magnolia by Joanna Gaines and Spice Village in Waco, which is a 30,000 square foot shopping experience. She knew she wanted a similar concept, but tailored to the unique requests of Boulder City shoppers. Despite her busy schedule with her other business ventures, Michelle is well-supported by her family – especially her youngest daughter, Whitney, and her mother, Marty – who you will most likely meet when you come to shop at Sage.
Sage Boutique has carefully curated product lines for shoppers. On our visit, Michelle and her crew were busily unpacking and preparing items for display and sale. We were especially excited to see all sorts of giftable items. The store will carry items such as handmade soap from Texas, jewelry, home and kitchen products, candles, books, seasonal and gardening goods, featured items from local artists, delicious Dirty Cow chocolates and so much more! There are treasures for little ones and unique finds for men. Boulder City shoppers can expect a wide variety of merchandise for gifts for others – and maybe add a few treats for themselves!
A unique feature of the store is the DIY gift wrapping station, located near the entrance. One anticipates that shoppers will be able to purchase their gifts at the store and then wrap them before heading out to their event. The convenience of such will be appreciated by busy residents who now have a great new option for buying local and supporting our town’s small businesses.
Another one-of-a-kind find in the store will be an area to purchase CBD items for pets from dogs to horses! A percentage of those sales will be donated to the Boulder City Mounted Police. the pet items will include CBD products from PetClub 247 have an immune support product derived from mushrooms. The Grand Opening of the store will be Saturday, May 14 from 12:00PM to 6:00PM. As part of the festivities, Somethin’ to Taco ‘Bout food truck will be on hand for hungry visitors to purchase on Saturday. Additionally new customers will receive 10% off their purchases with the coupon found HERE which expires 05/24/2022. There will be a Special Gift to the first 25 purchases over $25, so make sure to arrive early for the best deals.
The store, located at 410 Nevada Way, Suite #140, is a member of the Boulder City Chamber of Commerce. Regular business hours will be Monday thru Friday, from 10:00AM to 5:00PM, Saturday, from 10:00AM to 4:00PM, and Sunday from 11:00AM to 3:00PM. Sage will also participate in the Chamber’s monthly Wine Walks when they resume in September.
