We hope you were all able to come out and enjoy the 56th Annual Santa’s Electric Night Parade, hosted last night by the wonderful Boulder City Chamber of Commerce. It’s always one of our favorite events to cover because there’s so much holiday spirit in the air. Plus the parade entries look so cool all lit up!
The Grand Marshals for this year’s parade were “Tribute to Boulder City Icons”, namely Jack Gaal and Milo Hurst. Jack Gaal was a local general contractor who later operated Jack’s Place. He passed away in September. Milo Hurst was instrumental revitalizing the historic downtown corridor when he opened Milo’s Cellar and Inn in 1994. He passed away just last month. We think it’s great that the Chamber of Commerce honored these men by recognizing the positive contributions they made to our community through their business and philanthropic ventures.
Lots of local groups and businesses made appearances in the parade (you can find a list HERE), including Big John’s Towing, Boulder Business Development, Boulder City Bears Football, Boulder City Little League Baseball, the City of Boulder City staff, including the crowd favorite Mounted Patrol Unit, Dance Etc., local dentists Andrew and Bleu Huxford, Ruben’s Woodcraft and Toys, and the Screamin’ Eagles Marching Band of Boulder City High School.
It was a fabulous time and we enjoyed walking downtown afterwards and seeing the shops and restaurants so busy! Happy Holidays to all!
