And we have an air date, folks! The Great Christmas Light Fight is a multi-night broadcast on ABC, but we know that the episode shot here in Boulder City will air in the season finale on December 19th (2016) – a decision we’re told the producers made after the spectacular turnout for the reveal.
The episode will air from 8pm – 10pm and there are already a number of viewing parties being planned around town at our local restaurants and bars, so more news on that when they’re finalized.
For everyone who wants to attend a family-style viewing party, there will be a “Family Christmas Pajama Viewing Event” at Boulder Creek Pavilion from 8-10pm, hosted by Boulder Creek, the Boulder City Chamber of Commerce, and contestants Dyanah/Dale. Bring the kids and plenty of pillows/blankets for floor seating and you’re encouraged to come in your best pair of Christmas PJ’s.
They’ll have big screens, free popcorn (with additional drinks and food that can be purchased next door in the restaurant), a photographer and backdrop for family photos, etc.
Commercials will begin airing soon on ABC and so if you were there that night, look closely because you might just see yourself on tv for the next month!
Special Note: Please remember that this is a contest, the results of which are not announced until the air date, so ABC requests all media outlets posting online about the content to include a reminder that if you did take photos on the night of the reveal, please do not post them before the season finale is aired.
