Send a Veteran a Smile

Send A Smile Veterans Home Boulder City, Nevada

The Nevada Department of Veterans Services has a new program they have created, called Send a Smile! They are encouraging families of residents at our Southern Nevada Veterans Home to send video uploads and other media via their new web site portal!

Don’t have a veteran in the family? You can STILL participate! individuals, groups, churches and other non-profits, school classes and just anyone who wants to make someone’s day can participate! You can simply make up a sign thanking our veterans, and have someone take a photo of you or your group – and we think almost any of us can handle that! Right!?!

Then you upload your work onto the online portal. At the Veterans Home, they have a closed circuit TV and that is up and rotating images and videos all day for the residents to see. You can learn more on their web site HERE.

We think this is a great way for families or groups or kids as class projects to send messages to their loved ones and honor the service of our veterans who have been isolated due to the Covid-19 restrictions.

Thank you to all our veterans and those who care for them!
