Well, it’s back! And it’s better than ever! That’s the Senior Center of Boulder City’s Rock, Roll, and Stroll! The date is Saturday, March 11 from 11:00AM to 2:00PM in Bicentennial Park (999 Colorado Street – by City Hall). This fun fundraiser is for the whole family. There will be face painting and games for kids, swag booths for adults, and a number of local sponsors on hand to help support Meals on Wheels and other vital programs. Town favorite deejay, Mike Pacini, will also be on hand to spin some tunes and you want to make sure you get yourself a Pacini burger or hot dog from the grill while you’re there.
Meals on Wheels is a special program for the elderly and homebound that provides not only meals, but social interaction for those seniors who are alone. The national program, which began in 1954 in Philadelphia has now spread to thousands of communities in the United States. Over 221 MILLION meal will be delivered to the country’s seniors this year. But they need the help and support of their local communities to do so! They had to take a few years off from this event due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but we’re so glad they’re back so we can help them out with these necessary expenses.
We’ll see you all there on Saturday!
