Make September your time to set some new reading goals for education, edification, and entertainment at the Boulder City Library! The library is home to thousands of books in multiple formats so if you received a new reader like a Kindle for the holidays, now is a good time to check out the Libby by Overdrive app for ebooks and audiobooks. Prefer a more traditional option, like an actual book book? They’ve got you covered there as well! Did you know Boulder City Library patrons in good standing can request titles from any library in the Las Vegas Clark County Library District (LVCCLD)? If you’re not sure how to get your hands on the latest biography or maybe you’ve got your eye on a new healthy eating cookbook, visit the library and ask how you can request books.
Library closures for the month are:
- Monday, September 2, 2024 Labor Day holiday. Regular hours resume Tuesday, September 3, 2024.
Regular operating hours for the library are as follows: Monday thru Thursday from 10:00AM to 8:00PM, and Friday thru Sunday from 10:00AM to 5:00PM. The library is located at 701 Adams Boulevard and is online 24 hours a day HERE. Ages 0-5 Programs
- Tuesdays at 10:30AM: Toddler Tuesday Storytime: Ages 1-3 and Caregiver, Board Room. Join us for stories, songs, and a coloring sheet.
- Thursdays at 9:30AM: Early Risers Lapsit Storytime: Ages 0-2 and Caregiver, Community Room. Join us for stories and songs.
- Thursdays at 10:30AM to 12:00PM: Fun to Play for Preschoolers: Ages 3-5 and Caregiver, Board Room. Sign up to attend this fun six-week parenting class with UNR Extension. The class runs for 90 minutes. Sign ups required.
- Fridays at 10:30AM: Drop In Storytime: Ages 0-5 and Caregiver, Board Room. Join us for stories, songs, and crafts.
Ages 6-11 Programs
- Tuesdays, 9/10 & 9/24 at 3:30PM: Lego Building Challenge: Community Room. We provide the Legos, you provide the imagination!
- Wednesdays at 3:30PM: Youth Yoga: Community Room. Stretch out and relax with friends. No Yoga class on 9/25.
Ages 12-18 Programs
- School Days at 2:30PM: Teen Time, Community Room. Color, play board games, and hang out with your friends.
- Tuesdays at 3:00PM: Roleplayers Guild: Dungeons and Dragons 5e: Nevada Room.
- Wednesdays at 3:30PM: Youth Yoga: Community Room. Stretch out and relax with friends. No Yoga class on 9/25.
Family Programs
- Monday, September 16 at 2:00PM: Homeschool Hangout: Community Room. Learn from other Homeschooling families in the community.
- Saturday, September 28 at 10:00AM to 1:00PM: Family Literacy Fun: All ages, Community Room. Explore literacy in this fun family event!
