We know it’s a bummer that the Boulder Dam Credit Union decided to cancel their annual shred day this year, but they felt it was the responsible thing to do when considering the health of their employees and the community at large.
But if you still have boxes of stuff that you need to securely dispose of and shred, we thought we’d see what was available in town. And while it’s not a free service like these annual events in the past, the costs are reasonable we think for most, and you’ll be supporting some of our local small businesses at the same time!
Bee’s Business & Mail Service
Located at 1400 Colorado Street, Suite C, Bee’s offers shredding services for $1.00 per pound, with a 10 pound maximum please, per person per visit. Their phone is 702-293-5268.
The UPS Store
Located next to Toto’s Mexican and the 99 Cent Store at 806 Buchanan Blvd. #115, they have shredding available at the same rate of $1.00 per pound and do have a larger capacity of 130 total pounds. If you have a larger load, I’m sure they would appreciate you calling in advance, and their phone is 702-293-5788.
We hope this little run-down is helpful for ya, and that you’ll all be able to get the most important stuff taken care of using one of these local merchants! That’s what we like to call, a WIN-WIN!
