Snap Fitness Expands and Takes in Members From Closure

What are we showing you above? You know we just LOVE new construction or remodels in town, and in this case you’re looking at the demolition that has began at the former Post Net in the Albertsons shopping center that will become attached to a soon-to-be expanded Snap Fitness located next door at 1030 Nevada Hwy.

We talked to Owner, Steele Sacks and they have a few new initiatives that will be a part of this plan. You can see the floor layout above too, but he also has this to share:

Were continuing to expand on our holistic approach to fitness by – creating a functional training area expanded with more room and more privacy and allowing multiple areas in our gym where members can workout with more quiet or as they choose. Semi private Chill and Recovery zone room significantly expanded and improved with massage guns, red light therapy wraps, ice packs, heating pads, and compression boots, as well as our signature massage bed and tanning booth.

Meal prep plans will be offered directly through our gym – Members can pickup food to keep their diets on track. Our new free Snap app with workouts, classes, badges for awards, and meditation / mindfulness. We feel fitness is not just lifting weights and doing cardio. It should be a broad approach to fitness of the mind and body for all ages and sizes. Fitness is ever-changing and we want to provide not just a gym but a social wellness space and because of this we want to create a strong healthy community of like minded individuals!

This project has been in the works for months, but the timing has ended up being especially fortuitous because sadly the other fitness center in town, Anytime Fitness has announced they will be closing their doors on April 30th.

Mayi Rosenbaum Reiss, the Club Manager at Snap says for members of Anytime who want to try out Snap they are offering them a deal where there are no enrollment fees or initial dues. To join and try out the club folks need only pay the $20 key card cost and their last month (one month with no further commitment) dues, costs vary depending upon the type of membership they need.

We’ll keep an eye on their progress and let you know when they finish and show off their newly expanded digs hopefully later this year – congrats and good luck!
