We’d heard that the Southern Nevada Water Authority was suggesting the skipping of Sundays as a watering day this summer as a way to save water AND cut one’s water bill by an average of 10-15%. Both sound like good things to us!
What we didn’t know until we read THIS ARTICLE published on the Las Vegas Review Journal’s website yesterday is that while the “no watering on Sundays” guideline is voluntary, it is expected to become mandatory next year.
Still not a bad idea when you consider the levels at Lake Mead … but know that what you are doing voluntarily this year is something you’ll likely be required to do in the next one.
