The inaugural Stitches in the Sanctuary event will be held on Friday, February 27 and Saturday, February 28 from Noon to 5:00PM on Friday, and 10:00AM to 5:00PM on Saturday. Many of the quilts will be displayed at St Christopher’s Episcopal Church, located at 812 Arizona Street at the corner of Arizona Street and Utah Street (across the parking lot from the Boulder City Parks and Recreation Building). Larger quilts will be displayed at Silver State Stitch Shop, located at 1229 Arizona Street, next to the Boulder Theatre.
The event brings together art, history, and community by showcasing handmade quilts from local and regional quilters inside the church sanctuary, with additional large-scale quilts displayed outside the shop in our historic downtown district. This event is about more than quilts—it’s about storytelling, craftsmanship, and connection. Each quilt represents countless hours of creative work, personal history, and community tradition, and the setting offers a visually striking and uniquely Boulder City backdrop.
Make sure to set aside some time on Friday or Saturday to see some of the most beautiful quilts by local quilters and bring a friend! Admission is FREE for this event!
