The 2020 Census Is Live Now

Census Boulder City, NevadaYou’ll be hearing about these reminders from all sources, but thought we’d get the word out too!

Starting today, the US Census officially kicks off, and it’s important to fill out your census form and ‘be counted’. For all of you rebels out there who might feel a little resentment about all those tricky annoying boxes, the truth is that this all matters because of funding.

State and local funding for schools, health care, transportation and indeed the very functioning of our representative democracy is distributed based upon the every ten year US Census.

To do your civic duty and get this done the easy way, visit the SouthernNevadaCounts.com web site and you can do any of the following:

  1. Respond via the Online Census Here (note, be ready to sit down and finish in one shot when you begin)
  2. By mail – homes will start receiving the Census by mail now through the 20th
  3. Call in by phone at 844-330-2020

If you don’t do any of the above, then a lovely helpful census worker will come to your home and fill out the census form with you in person.
