‘Intentional’ is the word that comes to mind when you talk to owner Tara Bertoli about her enterprise at the Boulder City Company Store soon to open here in town at the former Antique Depot location at 525 Avenue B. Everything she touches seems to be so well thought out and considered.
She tells us that she and her staff will soon get their official training from Peet’s Coffee, which will be a featured part of this spot. But don’t worry, she’ll have tea and lots of other amazing goodness for us all to partake of!
Her goal is to start with a few invitation-only soft openings starting in mid-September with a goal to be sure she is fully opened at the end of the month to take advantage of Wurst Festival and of course Art in the Park, both events which are known for bringing big crowds into Boulder City.
Her store will feature clothing and Boulder-ite featured branded Boulder City gear, as well as gifts and tourist items on the left side of the store. The coffee shop side on the right will open (via the sliding doors Tara shows off below) directly into the retail store, so the two sides can operate with their own hours, but also provide for seamless browsing and buying, even if you’re swinging in for a quick cup-o-joe.
The sign, which was just installed this week, is an exact replica of the original store sign, shown below. Inside, she will include lots of unique photos and antiques that will talk about the history of our city and the building of Hoover Dam. We can’t WAIT to come here to drink, hang, shop and enjoy this great business!
