The Boulder City Sock Lady

Lately we've been wondering - where do you get these socks?!? Well, from the Boulder City Sock Lady, of course! Please meet Danielle Haney.

She wanted to do something that would be a Boulder City local fan item, and also that could be good for our local charities, namely the Senior Center. She has a friend who has an apparel manufacturing business in Los Angeles and started working on a sock design that could be put into production. Last year around the Christmas Holiday, she purchased the first 100 pairs of them and donated all of the initial sales to the Senior Center just to test out the idea.

Now, she is up to having about 250 of them on hand and is looking to expand her sale footprint in both direct sales as well as possible retail partners. The planned retail cost for each pair is $15, and she says her goal is that a portion of the proceeds from each pair would be valued at buying a lunch for a senior at the Senior Center. She is very open to also working with other local charities so for those involved feel free to approach her.

She has a website HERE, although currently it is all still mostly a placeholder until she gets her online retail up and running. She also tells us that she has more designs in the works, so look forward to that as well.

For now this is all just sort of a side-gig for her, but she plans to make it a real business.
