Bigger. Badder. Longer. Plus, the Fest now has it’s own Honorary Day here in town: February 9th is now Dam Short Film Festival Day!
This week we kick off the 16th Annual Dam Short Film Festival which has become one of the most iconic Boulder City events, and is stronger than ever!
This year, organizers decided to move the event back one week on the calendar, to take advantage of not only a certain ‘sweetheart’ of a Holiday, but the three-day weekend coming up for President’s Day on Monday the 17th. You can see the full Film Schedule and buy tickets HERE, but note I hear they are completely sold out of the 4 Day Passes for the event. So if you don’t have a ticket, you’ll need to buy for each film section either online, or at the door.
But here’s what is cool – the extra day on Monday, February 17th they are doing some additional film viewings they have not done in the past – you can go see the ever popular Award Winners Replay #1 and #2 that day with two slots, 11am and 1pm. So for those who get (or take) that day off, you can still get a viewing at those top films, which has always been a complete sellout in past years.
Here’s the most important thing to know: on those most popular showings, especially the weekend evening ones, be prepared to stand in line and get there early if you want a seat. All showings are expected to be very heavily attended this year. So be patient, and get there early. The volunteers on hand will be happy to help you get the lay of the land if you have questions.
We’ll see ya there Boulder City!
