We’ve all been super thrilled to see the progress over at the newest motel in town, soon to be opened as the Boulder City Inn (800 Nevada Way), taking over from the rather tired looking Desert Inn.
We’ve been unable to reach owner Jenny for an interview, but did run into her son Eric Sang (who’s also a realtor) and got a few minutes of his time.
We says they’ve been slowing working through and remodeling the insides of all the rooms, starting first on the south side and working their way around. The outdoor painting has spiffed things up a bit, along with the landscaping. They’ve also created a lovely brick outdoor patio area in front, that they’ll put tables out on for guests to hang out and enjoy the warm summer evenings.
He tells us it will be about two months before they are fully ready to open – but we’ll of course keep you posted!
For comparison, below is our ‘before’ pick we took when we announced there were new owners at the Desert Inn. Quite an improvement, don’t ya think?
