Some of you may not be aware that the Homestead of Boulder City transitioned almost a year ago from being an Assisted Living center into being Independent Apartments as a 55+ Senior Living Community. What that means, is that while the facility and all of its additional security, space and convenience are still here, but no longer with the requisite meal services or additional care that accompany most assisted living.
However, if you’ve never toured the building and you or a loved one are considering an apartment in Boulder City, this might be an option to consider.
They offer Studio, 1 Bedroom, and 2 Bedroom apartments. Lunch service Monday – Friday can be ordered for an extra cost. And all residents can rent out the dining room and commercial kitchen for a special event. Plus they can take advantage of all of the facilities such as the game room, sitting and common areas, library and movie room. Residents do gather and plan events with each other as well.
The area has a common entry with video monitoring and staff available during daytime hours. This provides that extra layer of security as unlike most rentals your door is not directly available to the outside world. The area is of course also heated in the winter and cooled in the summer, and all residents have full control of their individual unit’s heating and cooling thermostat.
