This Isn't a Goodbye...

To all of our readers and friends, we have some news for you...
Effective this month I will be transferring the ownership of BoulderCity.com/Boulder City Social to the Boulder City Chamber of Commerce. Please let me share why we’ve made this decision.
I acquired the “Social” in 2017 from Kathy Hicks who started it all back in 2008. It has been, and is, my greatest honor to be the steward of this publication. Together we’ve weathered the I-11 bypass, a pandemic, and many sweeping transitions and improvements to our little town. Through it all, we’ve held tight, kept what matters most about this special place in perspective, and stayed strong to our values and the love of our community.
Now, it is time for me to move toward new opportunities. We are not leaving Boulder City, but last year I wrote and published an important book, The Adoption Paradox, and have a new business venture I’ll be working on with my husband. Throughout 2025, I felt a slow tectonic shift below the surface within myself and have decided to step aside from this beloved enterprise to make room for something new.
Here's what’s important: nothing changes. Many of you know Tina Cluver who is and has been the lead content writer, curator, and editorial manager of BoulderCity.com for several years now. She is staying on as the primary writer and editorial manager of the publication. It will keep its focus as a cheerleader for Boulder City and its citizens and the businesses who make this town a fantastic place to visit and live. We’re pro-Boulder City all the time and always will be.
Jill Lagan, the CEO of the Chamber, wants you to know that BoulderCity.com will remain a completely independent publication separate from the Chamber of Commerce. She is committed to the long-term success of the publication to see it thrive and benefit Boulder City, the Advertising Partners who support this publication, and to all of you loyal readers.
You'll be left in very capable hands with Tina. She has been on board since 2021 and has grown into an extremely capable writer and will be an amazing future leader of this publication. I believe in her strongly and ask you to continue to support her and BoulderCity.com!
I’ll still be around, and you’ll see me at our upcoming local events for sure! That huge new railway museum will be opening soon, and there is so much good stuff happening in town, I won’t miss the fun times ahead. And I may still pop in with the occasional editorial on the things that have interested me over the years.
BoulderCity.com will still be running around town chasing down the stories with all of you, the people who make Boulder City special, and covering stories and the events that matter to all of you the most.
This isn’t goodbye, it’s a “C-ya later!”
