Town Hall Meeting on Economic Vitality October 15th

Town Hall Meeting Post Boulder City, Nevada

We got a last minute notice last Friday that Mayor Rod Woodbury will be hosting a Town Hall Meeting on Economic Vitality. The meeting will be at St. Jude’s Ranch for Children at 6pm on Monday, October 15th(2018).

We reached out to The City’s Communications Manager for additional details and we’ve got those for you below:

Boulder City is home to Hoover Dam, but we have a number of other economic drivers that keep us moving. Solar power, business and industry, as well as historic preservation are some of the facets to Boulder City’s economic vitality. How do we move forward and keep Boulder City’s economy robust? Mayor Rod Woodbury invites you to an educational Town Hall meeting regarding our economic opportunities and challenges in Boulder City. Economic Vitality: Drawing Strength from One Another will be held on October 15 at St. Jude’s Ranch for Children.

“Boulder City is a community blessed with rich history and so many amazing resources,” said Mayor Rod Woodbury. “We’re always looking for ways to make our city more sustainable, including preparing for periodic regional and national downturns that are beyond our control.  We can be stronger if work together to help one another.”

Presenters lined up so far include:

  • Roger Shoaff, Boulder City Museum and Historical Association
  • Christina Vela, St. Jude’s Ranch for Children

Other presenters are still being lined up! The Mayor emphasizes that this should be a true Town Hall meeting where they wish to have input from residents. Also if you wish, you can show up early for a tour of the facility at St. Jude’s.

Bottom line this is another way for both citizens and businesses in our community to make their voices heard! We’ll hope to see a good turnout.
