There will be an educational Town Hall Meeting on the topic of water, where we will hear from regional expert and speaker John J. Entsminger, who overseas the operations of the Las Vegas Valley Water District and the Southern Nevada Water Authority.
The meeting has been organized by Mayor Pro Tem, Councilwoman Peggy Leavitt, and takes place at the Boulder City Senior Center (located at 813 Arizona Street) from 6-7:30pm on Wednesday, September 12th.
Councilwoman Leavitt is the Boulder City representative on the Southern Nevada Water Authority, and says that Mr. Entsminger typically briefs the City Council annually on the topic of water in the area. Councilwoman Leavitt says, “because he is so knowledgeable, I thought a town hall forum might be better so residents have the opportunity to ask him questions directly. I’m hopeful that we can have a meaningful dialogue about water and the issues facing not only Boulder City but Southern Nevada in light of the drought. He can also discuss the water preservation efforts that are on-going.”
We’ll hope to see a great turnout for what should be a very informative presentation!
