With Haggen’s store closing date almost upon us (November 24th, btw) – there’s only a week left to help clear out the shelves, so head on over for deals.
But with Haggen’s winding down, the rumors are winding up (at least based on the couple of emails/messages I get each day) – so here’s what I know (and all I know, I promise).
This is directly from the Boulder City Economic Vitality Commission: “Sprouts and Trader Joe’s have expressed no interest at this time. Several other options are being explored.” So we know those are out.
Many people have contacted me to say they’re SURE that Smith’s is going in there, but as far as I know – that’s still a fond desire of the community and no deal is in the works. But we can continue to hope!
Folks are starting to talk about Starbucks wanting to build a location on the vacant lot of land that neighbors the shopping center (where the ARCO gas station used to be many years back) that could potentially include a drive-through, but the Clark County website does not show a change in land ownership (yep, I checked) – so IF there is a deal to lease or buy the land – it’s nothing that’s been made public yet. But yes, I’ve heard it from a few people … so it might not be outside the realm of possibility, either!
And there you have the news for today — none of which is actually news … just rumors so far … but enjoy them anyway!
