Upcoming Events and Their Status

Events in Boulder City, Nevada

Boulder City loves our events! Boy oh boy was that made clear to us all when in the year of 2020 pretty much all of them from March on were cancelled to comply with the Governor’s directives during the pandemic.

Welcome 2021! And one of the rallying cries we’re hearing around town is what will happen this year with all of our beloved regular events?!? We’re going to try to give you a very brief status report of most of them below.

Wine Walks

Wine walks are planned to return for three events this spring beginning on March 27th with the Mardi Crawl. As you may guess there will be a few changes and we’ll tell you about them in an upcoming article.

Spring Jamboree

Yes!!! The Spring Jam event is planned currently to be held in the park downtown on the first weekend of May just like normal – this year that will fall on May 1st and 2nd. Jill Lagan, CEO of the Chamber of Commerce, the event organizer has been working closely with state officials and the health department and other jurisdictions and seem to have contingencies and tentative approvals in place. There will be booths of goods and foods, train rides, the Rock and Gem show, the antique show and a car show and other fun stuff. We’ll let you know more when that gets closer, but we’re thinking you can hold those days on your calendar for what will for sure be a great weekend in Boulder City!

The Best Dam Barbeque

Friday and Saturday of Memorial Day Weekend has always been full of good food in the park as chefs battle for the best taste award! For us it means a whole lotta good food! Plans are underway for this event as well, and again, we’ll keep you posted when it gets closer.

The Damboree

The organizers of this event were unwilling to say what their plans currently are. They have said they are watching closely to see what happens with the Spring Jamboree and adapt from there, and are hopeful for at least the parade this year.

Wurst Festival

The Boulder City Sunrise Rotary Club is currently planning this annual Wurst Festival the last Saturday in September in the park for 2021. Currently they even have already rounded up three vehicles for the annual live auction, and donations have already started rolling in for both the Live and Silent Auction! We’ll keep you posted of course later!

Art in the Park

This other famous fall event has been announced for its usual spot on the calendar, the first weekend in October, so again, keep that in mind and we’ll let you know how things are shaping up in the future.

We know all of us are sooooo looking forward to gathering with friends, family and as a community, and we believe good times lie ahead! Know that all of these committees and non-profits are working really hard through some crazy circumstances to make it happen – and we know they will all appreciate our patience and support.
