This is awesome…Boulder Boats has brought Wake the World to Boulder City and it’s a perfect example of sharing a cool piece of your life to people who don’t have it…I dig it.
Next Saturday (Sept. 24th, 2011), Wake the World – Lake Mead will take place for the first time because Boulder Boats and some of their customers have donated their boats and their time to take the children and staff of St. Jude’s Ranch for Children out on the lake for the day.
Their trip will include boating, wakeboarding, water sports, lunch and a dinner party. Plus, Pro Wakeboard Riders Jimmy Trask and Will Christien will be at Lake Mead helping with the event all day. Wake the World founders Greg Hodgin (from Wake the World North Carolina) and Ryan Caroll (from Wake the World Texas) will also be at the lake to help with the event and give the kids a much-needed fun and positive day out on the lake.
Kristina and Stuart Litjens, owners of Boulder Boats, are very proud to be the first boat dealer to join the Wake the World Foundation by hosting the first ever Wake the World – Lake Mead. So far, they have about 100 people heading out to the lake…50 children from St. Jude’s Ranch, 20 St. Jude’s staff members and about 30 Boulder Boats staff and customer volunteers, so if you see them out on the water between 8:30am and 8:30pm — give them a huge shout-out.
If you would like to be a part of the event – whether it’s making a donation to cover the expenses of food and drink, your product/services, or your time in volunteering – Boulder Boats would love to have your support for the event. Just call Kristina Litjens at 702-293-1122 to let her know how you can help and she’ll take care of ya. You can also email her at kristina@boulderboats.com.
Here’s a great 2-minute YouTube video that tells you all about the event:
