So here I was, driving down Veterans Memorial Drive, when I spied a big ‘ol tanker truck in front of me with a “Mason Valley Hatchery” logo on the back.
When he turned up Buchanan toward the fishing pond, I started stalking him to get you some NEAT video of the pond being restocked with fish!
You’ll see from the video that he pulls right up, attaches a large tube and proceeds to drop 2 tanks (1,500 rainbow trout in each) right in.
Each year, we receive about 18,000 rainbow trout from Mason Valley Hatchery, which is located in Yerington, NV – a 400-mile one-way drive for this gentleman – yikes, that’s a long way!
