This week we are happy to bring you a real treat: the latest delivery from the Fox family of restaurants. That’s right, we’re going behind the scenes at Fox Family Bakery!!! The restaurant is located at the previous Fox Family BBQ restaurant at 1007 Elm Street. The bakery concept was created as a result of the family’s successful catering business late last year. The bakery is managed by owner Dan Fox’s daughters-in-law, Kelly Fox and Devon Hadad. The women began baking various treats for catering jobs, and then to provide menu items for the Best of Las Vegas favorite BBQ restaurant. It quickly became apparent that the family had developed another great option for local residents!
The bakery boasts a varied menu from sweet treats like cakes and pies to breads, rolls and lunch and dinner specials featured weekly on Thursdays. All items are prepared on the premises. Customers are encouraged to place preorders Wednesday thru Sunday by calling the bakery at 702-463-8297. Walk-in customers are welcomed to visit the shop on Saturday and Sunday from 10:00AM to 2:00PM, or until the inventory is sold, which typically occurs sooner due to popular demand! Recent weeks have featured such items as their famous biscuits and gravy to the wildly popular cream puffs and homemade pop tarts.
In addition to regular customers, the bakery also supplies local commercial customers like Fox Family BBQ and the newly opened Dam Roast House. This is an important focus of the business for future growth, according to Devon and Kelly.
A tour of the facility revealed a large prep and baking kitchen where the duo work their magic. While they offer a standard menu which can be found on their website at www.foxfamilybakery.com, they also take some special requests. Each week, on Thursday, the ladies create a special lunch or dinner offering. Specials are posted on the bakery’s Facebook page each week. Customers may preorder these specials by calling the restaurant.
