The EmpowerEd Leaders Learning Center is a new learning center located in Boulder City. The center, open to students in kindergarten to eighth grade, is led by educators Jayme Haines and Amy Higley. Jayme is a dance instructor who took her love for teaching to a career in elementary education. Amy has experience in general and special elementary education and spent fifteen years teaching at local schools. Together, they formed EmpowerEd Leaders, which opens on Monday, August 5. It’s located at 1028 Wyoming Street, at the corner of California Avenue and Wyoming Street.
The learning center offers students and their families a chance to participate in a half day format, from 8:00AM to 12:30PM, where they will be taught STEM concepts, language learning, mathematics, and for younger students, cooperative learning, The second option is basic instruction in a specific subject or subjects as desired by the student and their family. The center focuses on core learning modules surrounding reading, writing, and mathematics. Prices vary depending on the options selected. Each choice gives students and families a chance to take charge of learning and focus on the areas most important to them.
