What School Zone Speeding Will Cost Ya

With the start of the school year on Monday, it's time to remember to slow it down to 15mph in the school zones so you don't have the cost of a child's injury or death hanging over you ... that's number one, of course.

But for those whose memories might be helped with additional motivation to not speed in the school zones - I called the Municipal Court last week to find out how much the ticket will cost ya!

The "bail price" for speeding in a Boulder City school zone begins at $305 and escalates right along with your speed, topping out at a cool $1,140, Folks. So maybe just leave a little early and keep your eyes peeled for the school zone start and end signs, yeah?
