Woods Family Sandwiches is the newest restaurant to open its doors in Boulder City, with a grand opening Saturday, September 10 from 10:00AM to 4:00PM. The restaurant is located at 1404B Boulder City Parkway in the same shopping center as the laundromat. As part of the grand opening, they are offering free food for the first 5 people in line, free goodie bags for the first 25 people in line and BOGO (buy one get one half off – one per person) all day! There will also be raffle prizes for a television, Woods Family Catering Package, a gift card to Michelle Davis Personal Training, and a Visa gift card.
Owner Daelynn Woods is excited about expanding her family’s business to Boulder City. They already operate a successful shop in Henderson at 931 American Pacific Drive, Suite #106, Henderson, NV 89014. They’ve had that store for eight years. Prior to her sandwich shop experience, Daelynn owned and operated a Mexican restaurant in England for a while, before returning to the United States in 2014. She’s a single mom with two teenagers so she’s very busy with both her personal and professional lives.
The differences between Woods Family Sandwiches and other sandwich shops is the quality of ingredients that provide a unique taste to all their menu offerings. Everything is done in house, which lends a freshness to the food that surpasses the corporate chains. Their most popular sandwich is probably the Italian hoagie, but the most unusual sandwich is the Bomber sandwich. In addition to the traditional sandwiches, they also offer wraps, salads, and soups. You can also go “off menu” and create your own sub, using the “Build Your Own” ordering slips available at the counter. Basically, if they have the ingredients on hand, they can make the sandwich for you!
The family friendly restaurant will be open Tuesday thru Saturday, initially, with hours from 10:00AM to 5:00PM. As soon as more staff are added and trained, they plan to be open Monday thru Saturday with expanded hours. After their Grand Opening today, they will reopen on Tuesday morning at 10:00AM.
