Saturday, December 13th, the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, located here in Boulder City, will be participating in “Wreaths Across America”, an annual event where wreaths are placed on the graves of Veterans to remember and honor them for their service. You can share in the event and show your support in several ways:
Head over to the kickoff event on Tuesday, November 11 at Boulder City Company Store, located at 525 Avenue B. Denise Ashurst, local coordinator, will be there from 9:00AM to 11:00AM to assist in placing wreath orders and signing up volunteers for the wreath laying next month.
Help lay wreaths at our local Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Register by first selecting our location in Boulder City, from the link HERE. Type in Boulder City, then select our location. Press View and then you’ll see a button where you can register to Volunteer. The ceremony will begin at 9:00AM and volunteers are welcome to attend. You can sign up Tuesday between 9:00AM and 11:00AM at Boulder City Company Store or online.

If you would like to give a donation to sponsor a wreath, or want more information visit the Wreaths Across America page HERE. (www.wreathsacrossamerica.org). The deadline to sponsor a wreath is Monday, December 1, 2025.
What’s more, if you decide to sponsor a wreath you can do so in the name of a loved veteran who is currently serving, or in the name of a veteran who has passed. You can even make a personal donation to an existing grave marker at a participating Veterans Cemetery location. Wreath donation costs start at $17.00.
More than 9990 wreaths were laid at the Veterans Cemetery last year. Southern Nevada Veterans Cemetery is located at 1900 Buchanan Boulevard in Boulder City.
