The 25th Annual Wurst Festival is Saturday, September 25th from 10AM to 10PM at Bicentennial Park and our mouths are already watering for bratwurst and cold beers! This is the first major fall event to return this year after last year when this fundraiser went online – which was still a great success – and that is owed to all of you who still participated. But this year, we’re back in full swing and all your favorite events will take place downtown in beautiful Boulder City!
This year’s live auction items include: an LG 55″ UHD TV, a Traeger Pro 34 Pellet Grill, tickets to the National Rodeo Finals, lots of tours, trips (including a one-week stay in San Diego!), and yes ladies, there’s some amazing jewelry for you, plus tools and some great stuff for the gents as well. There are tickets to see the Golden Knights, tickets to an NFL game with the Vikings/Green Bay, and of course an Ultimate RAIDERS football package. And lastly of course you know there are always some great vehicles – they have a 1988 Fleetwood Southwind Motorhome, a 1998 VW Bug, a 2000 Nissan Altima GXE, and a 1994 GMC Sonoma Club Coupe 4 Wheel Drive Pickup, See the full Live Auction Book HERE.
Plus, the silent auction tent is filled with baskets and a fantastic assortment of items this year!
In the afternoon, enjoy live entertainment from Grammy Award Winning singer Randy Hall, featuring hits from old school Motown, the Blues Brothers and Bruno Mars, to name a few. Plus, don’t forget the kids zone area, so you can trade off watching the kiddos entertain themselves, while you go grab a drink and shop the Silent Auction too! End the night dancing on the street to the sounds of DJ extraordinaire, Mike Pacini.
This year, there is one fun twist you’ll get to enjoy that is a carry over from last year – in the week leading up to Wurst Fest, our local eateries will be running Wurst Festival specials, and you’ll be able to see the auction book and take advantage of setting up your online auction account in advance! Enjoy Wurst Festival specials at the following dates and locations:
- September 20 – The Dillinger
- September 21 – Big T’s Cantina
- September 22 – Milo’s Cellar
- September 23 – Boulder Dam Brewing
On the big day – food will of course include brats and hot dogs, as well as several new food trucks from past years, so there should be something for everyone. Five different beers will be on tap – so drink up!
Remember, it’s always for a great cause to fund Boulder City Sunrise Rotary projects around town, including the most famous drug-and-alcohol-free All Night Grad Party for the BCHS graduating class.
