Wurstfest 2011 Photo Gallery!

Wurstfest 2011 Car Window in Boulder City, NVAs you would expect…Wurstfest was a BLAST! I was scheduled to volunteer in the beer booth for 2 hours, but had so much fun hollering out beer orders…I was still there 7 hours later. Granted, I’ve completely lost my voice — but most everyone who knows me considers that a blessing!

All of the usual elements that we love at our Boulder City events were there, like the awesome car show with over 140 cars and the bounce houses…and of course, the bratwurst hot off the grill. But this year, there was the AWESOME addition of a mechanical bull contest (and I heard a 10 year old won the $250 prize). I’ve got photos in the slideshow for you below.

But before you click into it — bear in mind that one of the most anticipated parts of the annual live auction is what those wacko auctioneers will come up with each year. So to Doug Scheppmann of State Farm Insurance and Richard Baughman, Sr. of Farmers Insurance — the fact that the internet now features photos of your fine tunic-wearing selves — that’s your own fault for not ducking out of the way when you see me coming with a camera!
