Yes...that's chicken-shaving you see!

Okay - I hope you were able to come out to the Best Dam Barbecue Challenge on either Friday night or Saturday.  I was the Competition Coordinator this year and it was a ridiculous amount of fun.  I just had to share this photo with you...it brings a whole new meaning to the phrase "shaved chicken"!

Yep -- keeping the skin from separating from the meat is one of the goals in the individual chicken competition...so all ya gotta do is de-skin the chicken...then shave the fat off the inside of the skin and RE-skin the chicken before you smoke it! Yeah...I'll bet ya'll will be doing that at your backyard barbecue parties from now on, right?
