You Can ‘Adopt’ a Boulder City Graduating Senior

Adopt Boulder City, NV Graduating Seniors

Everyone in town seems to be looking for ideas on how to honor and celebrate the Class of 2020.

There’s a new Facebook Group in town that just started last night that we wanted to share with you all ASAP. On this Facebook Page parents who have a 2020 graduating Senior that lives in Boulder City are putting up their photos and info, and then a parent or other resident in Boulder City can ‘adopt’ them to get them an extra present for graduating in 2020!

(Mind you – this is NOT JUST FOR BCHS students. If you live in Boulder City and have a senior who is graduating in 2020, then you are welcome to participate!)

We wanted to give a shout out to the organizer of this page, Tina Evans who is administering this group. Thank you! But she is super quick to point out that the idea came from Jennifer Bratton, who is the organizer of several other pages in town (Mom’s Swap page) and she saw this idea in other communities, and tossed this over to Tina to get this set up.

Here’s how you play:

  1. Go to the page and ask to join
  2. If you’re a parent – post your Senior’s info and photo(s)
  3. If you’re looking to support or ‘Adopt’ a senior, then scroll through, pick one, and then reach out to their Parent via Messenger and claim the Senior as ‘ADOPTED’

We love how this organic effort is taking off massively here in town today! We know that Amy Wagner, the Principal at BCHS is still working out other details about how they will honor and recognize the Class of 2020. As we learn more about those details, we’ll keep you posted on them as well!
