Perhaps Mayor Tobler’s memory of our pancake throwdown last year just isn’t serving him correctly…but he actually thinks he flipped a better flapjack than me!
Well, I HARDLY think so and have challenged him to a rematch this coming Wednesday, July 4th at the Annual Pancake Breakfast that kicks off the entire day of Boulder City’s Damboree Celebration.
The Rotary Club of Boulder City hosts the pancake breakfast in Bicentennial Park each year starting at 7am and the good folks of Boulder City come up and enjoy some flapjacks in the park before the parade begins at 9am.
Below are some photos from last year’s event (yes, you’ll see that the mayor DOES make an excellent ‘pancake-runner’ in photo #3) — so come on up to the park bright and early! Pancakes are free of charge, but donations are ridiculously appreciated, as this is one of the Rotary Club’s two fundraisers (the other being the Best Dam Barbecue).
For those wanting to hob-knob…Congress-folks Dean Heller and Shelley Berkley will both be volunteering on the pancake serving line starting at 7am and Assemblyman (and candidate for Congress) John Oceguera will be on at 7:30!
