THE BEST DAM BBQ IS BACK FOR IT’S 18TH ANNUAL EVENT
MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND BROUGHT TO YOU BY THE ROTARY
CLUB OF BOULDER CITY ON FRIDAY, MAY 24 & SATURDAY MAY 25
Experience the tastiest sights, sounds, and smells of some of the best barbecue in the country. From fun festival food and beverage tents to the Best Dam Car Show and Best Dam Rib Eating Contest attendees can expect a family friendly event start to finish at this year’s 18th Annual Best Dam Barbecue on Friday, May 24 and Saturday May 25.
The Best Dam Barbecue is the largest fundraiser of the Rotary Club of Boulder City and has become a staple event for the Boulder City community. The competition starts on Friday at 12pm and awards for various categories will be presented Friday evening and Saturday afternoon in Bicentennial Park located at 999 Colorado Street.“Indulge” in fun festival food from our returning favorite food truckies. From Funnel Cakes and Shaved Ice to delicious Barbecue Favorites, washed down with an ice cold Beer, glass of Wine, or a refreshing Margarita.
Get the kids involved with this year’s Kids-Que Barbecue challenge, where children ages 6 – 17 can compete for Cold Hard Cash. Application found at BestDamBarbecue.com under Kids- Que, application fee is $10 and must be submitted by Friday, May 24, 2024.
The Best Dam Barbecue pulls the nation’s best barbecuers as they compete for GRAND CHAMPION and their share of $8,500 in CASH PRIZES. And as if the cash, prizes and trophies weren’t incentive enough for our challengers to grill like they’ve never grilled before, the Best Dam Barbecue is a qualifier for the Jack Daniels World Championship Invitational Barbecue (aka “The Jack”)…one of the most prestigious barbecue competitions in the world!
Complementing this annual tradition is the Best Dam Car Show, presenting mild to wild, shiny to grungy, antiques to classics – countless participants will come together to show off their rides.
In addition to antique cars, we have an antique show happening inside the Boulder City Parks & Recreation building which sits beside Bicentennial Park. Over 40 antique dealers will be sharing their treasures all day Friday and Saturday.
Expect live music Friday evening, the annual Best Dam Rib-Eating Contest, and activities for the kids. Entry fee separate from Best Dam Barbecue Team Entry, and the first 10 winners will walk away with cash prizes ranging from $300 for first, $225 for second, $200 for 3rd, $175 for 4th, $150 for 5th, $125 for 6th, $100 for 7th, $75 for 8th, and 9th–10th place will walk with $50 cold hard cash.
Along with fundraising events like the Best Dam Barbecue, the Rotary Club of Boulder City is dedicated to improving lives.
