This Saturday is the last Movie in the Park in the “Summer in the City” series hosted by the Boulder City Chamber of Commerce and it’s ‘Date Night’ with a catered dinner from Fox Smokehouse BBQ being offered before the movie. Here’s the skinny:
Fox Smokehouse BBQ will cater dinner in Bicentennial Park with food service beginning at 6pm. The park’s picnic tables will be moved to the front of the movie screen and roped off for dinner guests to enjoy the fixin’s, after which, they can move to their lawn chairs and seats of choice for the movie. The movie will be Captain Phillips, starring Tom Hanks, and it will start at approximately 7:45pm (although it’s based on when it’s dark enough, to be honest).
Truthfully – it doesn’t have to be ‘Date Night’…I know a lot of kids who love Fox BBQ as much as we grown ups, so bring the family out for a fun dinner in the park (and let them run ragged before you take them home to bed).
Tickets for dinner can be pre-purchased at the Chamber of Commerce this week for $15 each and you can also buy them at the event (but I’d think it would be helpful if Fox had an estimated headcount, so I’m advocating advance ticket purchase), ya know?
p.s. – if you really want to make a night of it, start the party early with the final Wine Walk (previous post here) of the summer through downtown…that’s at 4pm in front of the Chamber office (Arizona & Nevada Way). And be sure to mark your calendars for the FINAL movie of the year, which is at the Veterans’ Memorial Park Halloween Trunk or Treat event in October….more info on that later!
