Boulder City Elks Lodge No 1682 is hosting a brief program on Saturday, June 14 at 2:00PM. The observance of Flag Day will tell the story of the American flag from its inception to the present day. Boy Scout Troop #7 will assist with the ceremony. It is free to the public. Attendees will be treated to patriotic music and brief speeches regarding each flag presented. A light lunch will be served afterwards, consisting of hot dogs, apple pie, and potato salad!
The Boulder City Elks Lodge is well-known in our community for supporting various programs for youth and veterans. For example, they provided a grant to MP King Elementary School last year to help update their library. We told you about that HERE. They invite veterans from the Southern Nevada Veterans Home as guests for dinner at the lodge on a regular basis. They also host a community Thanksgiving dinner which is a very popular event.
