Meet Angie Rafferty, The Bourbon Babe

If you've attended a special event recently around town, the chances are very good that you've met Angie Rafferty. Angie is the office manager for the Boulder City Chamber of Commerce, where she assists local business owners, works local events like Spring Jamboree and the Santa's Electric Night Parade, greets visitors to the Chamber of Commerce, and directs the activities of other employees and volunteers related to the Chamber's business. But in addition to all those hats (and more, let's be honest), she also is a business owner herself. Angie owns and operates a mobile bartending service called The Bourbon Babe.

With more than 25 years in the hospitality industry, she looks forward to creating unforgettable occasions for her clients. She is available for all types of events throughout Clark County: bachelor / bachelorette parties, baby showers, weddings, corporate events, birthday parties and more. When working with her clients, she has the ability to customize drink menus, create signature cocktails for an event, and work within a client's budget. Whether its an open bar, cash bar, or an event with 2 or 3 special drinks, she is prepared to exceed a client's expectations.

Not in the mood for alcohol? That's no problem! Angie is a master a developing mocktails (non-alcoholic beverages) for those who prefer a less boozy option. She has an espresso machine too, so coffee-based drinks are not out of the question either. She consults with each client to determine what the event theme or aesthetic is, and then provides a unique experience that her customers have raved about. Having a theme party? Angie's your bartender. She will match the vibes of your event with her own fun spin.

Maybe something more intimate and fun would fit the bill? Ask her about her 90-minute mixology class. Perfect for a girls night out or part of a corporate outing, etc., Angie will construct a three drink menu with input from her client, and all attendees will learn to make the three drinks! Attendees also go home with bar tools so they can continue to practice their skills at home.

In addition to her work at the Chamber and her mobile bartending business, Angie can help clients locate other professionals for their events. She has an extensive network of bands, photographers, caterers, cake makers, and more. Her concierge service is just one more reason why she's a popular choice here in Boulder City.

As we mentioned earlier, you will frequently find Angie out and about in Boulder City. She is excited to work with some other local businesses to do events in and for the community so be on the lookout for those. We do have great news for the curious though: Angie will be on hand at the Silver State Lampworking Grand Reopening tomorrow, Saturday, July 11 from 4:00PM to 7:00PM. We first told you about this open house HERE. She will be serving up mocktails throughout the evening for those in attendance so this would be a great time to check out two very popular and successful businesses in our community.

Angie has lived an interesting life. Prior to her mobile bartending business, Angie was a corrections officer in the United States Army! She holds a BA in English, plus minors in pre-law and psychology. Angie's "can do" attitude has served in well in her hospitality career. She never does anything halfway. When she sets her mind to doing something, it gets done. She loves meeting new people so bartending is a perfect occupation for her. Learning about other people is something she truly enjoys and her friendly demeanor is an asset to any party. As a woman-owned, veteran-owned business, Angie is committed to client satisfaction.

When she's not working (we aren't sure when that is!!), she's also a mom to four children, daughters Aunica and Kirsten, and sons, Gage and Mason.
