We’ve known Curtis Gerber for four years since he opened his Natural Blum location (501 Nevada Way, Suite 1) in Boulder City back in July 2021. Back then we told you here about his awesome new store introducing unique quality CDB and CBG products to help Boulder City residents have less pain and help keep them healthy and mobile.
Those efforts have expanded to high quality supplements but now also extend to his other great passion in life – dogs.
His love of canines is real, long-standing and a serious business for him. He is the owner of a well respected breeding and training operation specializing in Cane Corso’s at the Red Rock Canyon Cane Corso kennel. Curtis takes this role seriously and is one of the 2018 CCAA Breeder of the Year recipients. They have been working specifically with this breed of dog since 2003 and have a slew of endorsements and accolades for the effort. Curt’s enthusiasm for the topic literally bubbles from him when we met.
But let’s be honest, the food the majority of us feed our pets from the grocer is not the healthiest stuff. Breeders such as Curtis have long worked with other more highly endorsed and specially created feeding options for their dogs, which most of us either don’t know about or don’t know where to find them. That all changes today.
Curtis has leveraged his expertise in this industry to now carry a full series of dog food lines, both wet and dry, here in Boulder City. These foods are far superior to what you buy on your grocery shelf and by comparison are really not that much more expensive. The food is more dense, and higher in calories per cup, so you need less each time you feed your dog and a bag lasts much longer. Additionally, the ingredients are much higher quality and don’t have all of the fillers that a typical grocery store brand will. Right now he offers both dry food and canned. Within a few weeks he will also have a freezer section with fresh frozen options as well.
We have to say, when looking around his store we were impressed. As a connoisseur of high end supplements for humans, we found his pricing more than fair and often below what I”m paying when ordering from Amazon/etc. We’re pretty lucky in our household and don’t struggle a lot with mobility or pain. So admittedly we haven’t partaken much of his offerings. But his fandom at Natural Blum has grown.
It’s important to note that his business is not a dispensary. CBD and CBG are not marijuana products. Their clientele includes folks who will travel here from Henderson and he can ship products ordered from his website all over the world. His endorsements are many and include professional athletes and also medical doctors and others. The products are approved for use by those such as athletes, doctors, nurses or police who have to undergo regular drug testing for work, but then need assistance with pain or other physical issues they struggle to treat. These ointments and other tools from Natual Blum are a good answer for them.
His award-winning farm up in the Rogue River area of Oregon was one of the first to cultivate the CBG flower that is part of so many of the store’s most popular products. His products are organic and vegan. For example, rather than using pesticides on his plants, he used more than 72,000 ladybugs to keep the pests away!! Everything is done with an eye to improving the lives of customers and Mr. Gebers is careful not to lose sight of his mission.
